Biography

Tokyo-based DJ and composer whose sound merges the emotional drive of 90s trance with the layered textures of psychedelic deep techno.

Her sets are built as long-form narratives that explore tension and release, using expansive pads, deep atmospheric layers, and trance-inflected peaks to shape immersive journeys across clubs, outdoor festivals, and intimate spaces. Reading the energy of each environment, she guides the floor with a strong sense of storytelling that unfolds over time.

In 2025, she released her debut EP, *TipLia*. Her upcoming two-track EP will be released as the inaugural release of a new European label. German duo Space Drum Meditation have incorporated both her released and unreleased material into their DJ sets, continuing to support her music.

She is the founder and curator of the ALA party series, where she handles programming and on-site production to create coherent musical experiences. Through releases on European labels and collaborations with both domestic and international artists, she continues to expand her sonic vocabulary and cultivate cross-border connections.

Drawing on experience across clubs, outdoor festivals, and event organization, she approaches DJing as more than track selection—creating atmosphere through careful musical direction and a deep understanding of space.

With a multicultural background as a one-quarter American artist, NUTMEG centers her practice on transforming environments through sound. By blending classic trance emotion with contemporary techno aesthetics, she listens closely to the rhythm of the dancefloor, shaping emotional landscapes that evolve throughout each performance

90年代トランスの情感とサイケデリック・ディープテクノの質感を融合したサウンドを軸に、緊張と解放を描く没入型のロングセットを得意とする。

広がりのあるパッド、深いレイヤー、トランス由来のピークを織り交ぜながら、クラブ、野外フェスティバル、親密な空間まで、その場の空気やエネルギーを読み取り、物語のようにフロアを導くプレイスタイルを持つ。

2025年にはデビューEP「TipLia」をリリース。今後は、新たなヨーロッパのレーベル第1弾作品として2曲入りEPのリリースを予定している。また、ドイツのデュオ Space Drum Meditation がリリース作品および未発表音源をDJセットに取り入れるなど、海外アーティストからも継続的なサポートを受けている。

主宰パーティ「ALA」では、キュレーションから現場運営まで一貫して手がけ、音楽的な文脈を持つ空間づくりを行っている。ヨーロッパのレーベルからのリリースや国内外アーティストとのコラボレーションを通じて、国境を越えた音楽的交流を広げ続けている。

クラブ、野外フェスティバル、オーガナイズなど多様な現場で培った経験を生かし、単なる選曲ではなく、音楽を通して空間そのものをデザインすることをDJの本質としている。

アメリカ系クォーターという多文化的なバックグラウンドを持ち、クラシック・トランスの情感と現代テクノのテクスチャを融合させながら、フロアの呼吸を読み、その瞬間ごとに変化する感情と空間を描き出すことを活動の軸としている。
